I’ve spent three-plus decades providing quality(?) journalism from a classical-liberal perch. I’ve reported for, edited, and managed publications in five states, but my home (from birth to age 30 and from 2009 to now) is the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. I’ve won awards for my work in Colorado and here in N.C.
I did not set the Major League Baseball record for stolen bases. My interests include federalism (when the states are right, not when they’re wrong); education; property rights; fiscal rectitude; dynamism in culture and the economy; pets; and obscure American music. I play the ukulele and help run an informal group based here. We play for free. We stop for money.
